$8000 Federal Tax Credit Caution For San Antonio Buyers

If you hoping to take advantage of the up to $8000 Federal tax credit for first time homebuyers, here's a cautionary note from Melissa Kulikiff, Senior Loan Officer, Supreme Lending, San Antonio. Melissa says:

"The tax credit truly expires on November 30, 2009....This is the Monday after Thanksgiving.

Most title companies will be closed Thursday and Friday for the holiday.
Please keep this in mind if you are a first time home buyer hoping to take advantage of the tax credit. A 1-day delay could cost you $8,000.

Does this note of caution seem premature? I don't think so."

If you are a first time home buyer scheduled to close on your home purchase at the end of November, please heed Melissa's cautionary advice. Avoid the chance of losing your tax credit. Check with your Realtor(R), lender, and title company to make sure your closing won't be delayed past midnight on 30 November.

Melissa is available to consult with buyers needing information about the the $8000 tax credit, specifically, and mortgage loan issues, generally. You can contact her at Supreme Lending, San Antonio, Main Line: (210) 807-6850: Direct Line: (210) 807-6851; Cell: (210) 849-9030.
