Builder Magazine has named San Antonio as one of the nation’s healthiest real estate markets.
The magazine and Hanley Wood Market Intelligence looked at the 75 largest markets in the country to consider which were in the best shape using population trends, job growth, home prices and building permits as measures.Houston, Austin, Fort Worth, San Antonio and Dallas were named the top five cities in the country. “The healthiest markets have many things in common,” the magazine said. “Most of them are great places to live, either close to the ocean, mountains or major universities. Most of them didn’t have a huge run-up in prices during the boom and aren’t experiencing rampant deflation during the bust.”
